Ever hear the old wives tale that cheese gives you nightmares? Well, according to a group of scientists in the UK, there is no truth to the claim.
In fact eating cheese near bedtime can help you sleep. The amino acid tryptophan (the same stuff in turkey) is found in cheese, and promotes a good night sleep.
That said, a scientific study conducted on 200 volunteers revealed that different cheeses can have different effects on your dreams. Not sure whether to believe any of this, but if you want a better chance of chatting to Brad Pitt while you snooze, nibble on some cheddar before hitting the sack.
I did not know that. But now that I do, I am going to start trying it out at night. I sure could use a good night sleep.
I love this information! :)
